2013 The New Year

It's been forever and a day since I've posted in this thing. 2012 sucked, losing a best friend and not keeping consistently motivated (but rather sporadically):

Alas, the time for mourning shall come to a close. Thomas Clough produced over 100 tracks in one year, though only a select number are currently available: theping781 - Music. I shall make a song dedicated to him, entitled "The Legendary Thomas."

Since my last post, I've cleaned out my soundcloud. Many samples from previous posts are unavailable, they're not worth listening too. However, I do have a few mash-ups available for listening:

A whole year of random outbursts of production, and all I have are two full mash-ups to show for it... I shall dedicate 2013 to a year of more solid production. I spent a great deal of time learning what kind of genres I like, and what BPM means for the genres. So far, I've decided that Drum and Bass/Glitch Hop/Electro/Dubstep are the genres I aspire to create the most.

I decided in 2012 that my first EP would be entitled "Legacy," but after much turmoil in creating uninspiring sounds, I'm scraping the name. To be continued...

Additionally, I changed up my image a bit and created two new mixes that have received zero criticism, good or bad:

DUCKFACE!!

These are the kinds of songs I'd like to Dj. Those are my coolshades (pictured above)!

I've also started social media. It's not gotten very much publicity, but when i make something worth listening too, they will come to me:

My new years resolution last year was to learn about the electronic music producing industry, and though I didn't make an EP of my own or officially (I made an EP of my remixes of "Levels"), this is the year I make an EP, 3-6 songs to-be-distributed via beatport and/or iTunes. I've gathered all the intel needed to get the job done; creating and distributing. The hardest hurdle is the mastering process, the last hurdle needed to make a polished sound.

This blog is ugly, too. It needs the works! Until next time!
